Eyebrow waxing: Discover what you should know about it!

EVERYTHING A BEAUTY PROFESSIONAL NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT EYEBROW WAXING: TIPS AND TRICKS

Eyebrow waxing is much more than just a procedure; it is a painstaking craft that requires precision and knowledge. Beauticians are like artists who not only make sure that the eyebrows look great after the procedure, but also that the skin around them is beautiful and carefree. Our goal is to create not only a beautiful appearance, but also satisfaction and comfort.

PERFECT WAX CONSISTENCY

The consistency of the wax plays an important role in the waxing result. Here are some important tips:

Temperature control: The wax should be warm, not hot. The adjustable temperature iWAX Diamond Tech 400ml Blackis a great investment, allowing you to keep the wax at the optimal temperature.

Consistency check: The wax should have a honey-like consistency, not too runny or too thick. We recommend ITALWAX Topline Coral Wax, which ensures irritation-free and high-quality results.

Regular stirring: The consistency of the wax can change, so regular stirring with a wax spatula will ensure a wax with even heat and texture.

CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR EYEBROW WAXING

It is important to know when eyebrow waxing may not be appropriate for a client. Foaming is prohibited if the client is using Roaccutane or Accutane skin medication. The situation must be explained to Klint and it is recommended to postpone the waxing.

Skin conditions: If the client has an inflammatory skin condition such as eczema or psoriasis, we recommend avoiding waxing.

Recent facial treatments: After chemical peels or laser therapy, wait at least two weeks before eyebrow waxing.

EYEBROW WAXING: BEYOND THE BASICS

In addition to waxing, it is important to prepare your skin for the waxing procedure to ensure a perfect experience.

Before Waxing: Clean your eyebrows gently with cleansing foam and prepare your eyebrows for waxing using RICA Cotton pre-depilation gel.

After Waxing: There may be some redness, but this is normal. To remove wax residues, we recommend RICA avocado post-depilation oil. After waxing, it is important to avoid exposure to the sun and make-up for at least 24 hours.

PERSONALIZED TECHNIQUES

Every client is different, so tailor the technique to their needs. Communicating with clients and asking questions is important, especially if they are new to eyebrow waxing.

Building trust with the customer

Waxing should not be unpleasant. A beautician’s job is to build a trusting relationship with clients so that they feel comfortable and want to come back.

Finally, let your customers know what products you use, the steps of the procedure, and any possible side effects. If necessary, perform an allergy test 48 hours before your appointment, especially for first-time clients or those with sensitive skin.

Make sure your workplace is spotless. Your salon environment is a direct reflection of your work and business ethics, so ensure a sanitary work environment. Use disposable supplies whenever possible.

💚 Good luck with your eyebrow waxing!
